Each day between 18 – 20 Chefs create a unique dish and cook it right in front of you, over fire. You eat as many as you like using Meatbucks to redeem dishes. You while away the afternoon: eating, drinking, dancing and sharing stories – generally soaking up the atmosphere.
Meatbucks are our festival currency – each Meatbuck gets you one dish at the event. They are priced at £7 per Meatbuck and the dishes are a smaller portion than they would be at a restaurant, meaning you can try lots of dishes during the day.
You can buy them in advance with your tickets, but they will be readily available on-site from MeatBuck points or the roving MeatBucaneers.
Meatopia has a wide variety of drinks available from any of our bars and can be purchased on-site with a card.
Meatopia is now a cashless festival, so please bring your bank cards and contactless payment devices and leave your change at home.
The coals will be burning bright from gate opening time until it runs out… (same as before) so don’t come too late and miss the most popular dishes.
Meatopia is probably not great for vegetarians or vegans, though everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the music, bars, demos and atmosphere.
Babies in arms go free, otherwise all children will need a child ticket. These tickets are limited and need to be purchased with an adult ticket. Max of two children per adult ticket. Once these tickets are gone, they're gone.Adult tickets must be purchased for all children over 12 and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
No, sorry. Dogs and fresh meat don’t mix very well so only guide dogs are allowed at Meatopia.
